lydia lives and works in asheville, north carolina. her instinctive leanings toward the visual arts led her to a degree in multimedia arts + sciences at the university of nc at asheville. after graduating in the winter of 2007, she remained in the city that had come to be such a source of inspiration for her. the beautiful mountain surroundings and lydia's love of the natural world shape many of her projects.

originally from chapel hill, north carolina, she has enjoyed living in two unique cities that inspire and embrace creativity. she has been fortunate to travel through much of the united states, europe, and beyond.
